Responsibilities include:
- Supporting EST-Rs and classroom teachers of students with Neuro-divergent needs.
- Review the educational programs of students with Neuro-divergent needs regularly and collaborate with school teams on the appropriate academic/functional course for each student.
- Analyze data to identify plateaus and declines in student performance.
- Conduct CALI and CALI-FSI assessments and monitor positive behavior support plans/behavior intervention plans for effectiveness with Neuro-divergent students.
- Contribute to keeping accurate and current records of procedures and current targets/goals to ensure the EA is recording data correctly.
- Provide in-service and professional development training as requested by the Director of ESS or the Subject Coordinator for ESS.
- Work as a team with other multidisciplinary professionals (i.e., SLP, OT, PT, etc.) to ensure that all areas of the student's development are addressed.
- Participate in regular case conferences and /or meetings with school staff and parent(s) of Neuro-diverse students.
- Assist with yearly Kindergarten screening “On My Way to K”.
- Providing support to optimize student transitions at school entry or between grades and schools.
- Consult with ESS Coordinator to determine appropriate support for children with Neuro-divergent needs.
- Promote the principals of Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) as well as support the development and implementation of ABA programming for students with Neuro-divergent needs.
- Remain current with respect to research and Evidence-Informed practices.
- Consult with DESS teams in the BEC/DEC and MEC on students who would be considered Tier 4 and/or whose support exceeds the District level funding model (PISC).
- Laise with Regional Organization Committees (ROCs) and Integrated Service Teams to advise and support cases that involve ASD-N students.
- Liaise with Social Development, Health, Addictions and Mental Health and local law enforcement as required.

Qualifications and Experience: - Valid New Brunswick Teaching Certification
- Ability to travel between all area schools
- Minimum of five (5) years' experience in the public school system
- ASD and Behavioral Interventions Course – Levels 1 and 2 (preferred)
- Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Exceptionalities (considered an asset)
